When a very traumatic event occurs, groups of individuals can be impacted severely. For instance, if there is a death that occurs at a workplace, or professionals respond to a natural disaster, anyone close to the event can be impacted psychologically. Bringing in a trained psychologist to provide group and individual counseling following the event can make a big difference in long term outcomes. I have experience going on-site, immediately following a critical incident, and providing group support, therapy, and knowledge to help individuals and the community recover. Traumas are never easy to cope with, but the science of psychology has come a long way in knowing how to reduce the long-term impact and return communities/worksites/schools to a functioning state. Please call if you have a traumatic incident for which you would like a compassionate, knowledgeable and experienced therapist to respond.
